Rootstown Mask Policy

  • Students in grades K-12 need to have a mask when entering the school, in the classrooms as well as all school hallways.

  • We recommend sending your child with an extra mask in their book bags in case the mask becomes dirty or falls on the floor.

  • The CDC recommends washing cloth face masks after daily use.

  • Students may not trade or switch masks during the day.

  • Please see the 5th grade schedule for times students will take mask breaks

  • During a mask break, students will be required to place their masks in a ziplock baggie provided to them by the district. Students cannot place masks on tables, floor, or pockets.

  • Students with gators or masks attached to a lanyard may pull the masks down during breaks
