Getting to Know Your School Counselor…

My name is Danielle Rudloff (my name changed!), and I am the school counselor at Rootstown Elementary.  In 2012, I graduated from Youngstown State University  with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I went on to graduate from Youngstown State University in 2014 with a Master of Science degree in School Counseling. I also hold a mental health counseling license in the State of Ohio (LPC). I began working in this district in the 2014-2015 school year.

I currently live in Youngstown with my two dogs (fur babies): Max and Macy. I enjoy reading, crafting, spending time with family/friends, and shopping! I also enjoy listening to, and attending country concerts. In the summer I have fun taking beach vacations and being in the sun.  I love all things Disney, Dr. Seuss, and penguin related!  As a counselor I love to watch children grow socially and emotionally - talking about and recognizing feelings is a huge part of my counseling approach.

I am looking forward to working with all the students, families, and staff to create a positive and successful learning environment for each child this year! I look forward to helping students and learning and growing with them every day!!
