Welcome to Mr. Just’s 7th grade science class. This will be my ninth year teaching at Rootstown Middle School, and my 18th year teaching overall. I am also a coach for the RHS Baseball team. Prior to coming to Rootstown Middle School, I spent the previous 8 years teaching 6th - 8th grade math and social studies outside of Atlanta, GA.
I grew up in Suffield, and graduated from Springfield High School (Akron) in 1996 and Mount Union College (now University of Mount Union) in 2001. My wife’s name is Victoria and we have a 10 year-old son, Drew and a 1 ½ year old chocolate lab named Bella.
I am a huge sports fan. I love my Buckeyes, Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers. I have recently become a big hockey fan, specifically of the Blue Jackets. I enjoy golfing, hunting, and camping.
This summer was a very busy, but fun summer for the Just Family. We took the first week of summer break to go on vacation to Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. We had a blast with some great friends. We went camping at Mohican over the 4th of July week. This was a first time for us down there. We had a great time there as well. We went camping at Lake Milton KOA for my son’s baseball team year end party. That is always a fun time as well. Finally, my mom and step-dad rented a lake house for my family and both of my sisters and their families at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. That was awesome! It was a beautiful place and had a great time tubing, boating and going on a mountain coaster!
I am very excited about this school year and look forward to the opportunity to assist you in your education.
