Announcements

My Google Classroom has a variety of optional activities for students, if interested. All the skills are previously learned, so students should have a basic understanding of the material. Many of the activities are interactive or game-based.

If your child is having trouble with any of the math work assigned by their regular classroom teacher feel free to email me and I will provide as much support as possible during school hours. Additionally, I will have Google Meet "virtual office hours." The times and codes are available on my Google Classroom, which all students can access.

Hello!

My name is Toni Gates and this is my third year as the Title I math teacher at Rootstown Middle School.

After obtaining my bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education from Baldwin-Wallace College, I moved to Florida where I taught for eight years. In 2015 I earned my master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida. I moved back to Ohio during the summer of 2016, and completed a year as a home instructor, which afforded me the opportunity to remain in the teaching field and spend time at home with my twins! Most recently, I had a baby girl last September!

I am excited to be in the classroom and impact student learning through small group instruction!
