The Middle School houses students in grades 6, 7, and 8. The school day extends from 7:25 a.m. to 2:11 p.m. A hot lunch is available each day for students to purchase as well as ala-carte items.

Rootstown Schools, in collaboration with the community, will provide a quality education in a safe environment for students to become productive, life-long learners.

The school operates on four 9-weeks grading periods and meets and/or exceeds all the requirements mandated by the Ohio State Department of Education.

A basic curriculum is offered consisting of language arts, math, science, social studies, health, physical education, art, vocal music, band and computer literacy.

Academic content standards provide a guide to assist the teaching staff in planning instruction and to insure that all concepts and skills are introduced and taught as a student progresses through the grade levels.

The professional teaching staff is highly qualified to teach in each content area.

Classes are available for special needs students.

Interscholastic athletics are available to both girls and boys in grades 7 and 8.

The school receives support from an active PTO organization which provides activities for the students, financial assistance, and support for the staff.
